Description: The Haemonetics Cell Saver 5 is an Autologous Autotransfusion System. This autotransfusion system separates, washes, and packs red blood cells to be later infused into the patient. Unlike allogeneic transfusion where the blood donor and the patient are different people, the process that the CS5 uses is, autologous transfusion, where the blood donor and the patient are the same. The Cell Saver 5 can also be used pre-surgery to collect platelet rich plasma. Soma Tech Intl technically and cosmetically refurbishes Haemonetics Cell Saver 5 devices in their own ISO:13485 certified facility and is not affiliated with Haemonetics. Uses disposable manifolds.
